Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience and qualifications

St Olave's Prep School is seeking an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and highly supportive team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced primary practitioner who believes that children thrive when high expectations, genuine care and strong relationships come together. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children grow in confidence, develop independence and achieve their very best.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who shares our values and wants to make a meaningful difference every day.

Applications are particularly welcomed from experienced Teaching Assistants with a Level 3 qualification and a proven track record of providing effective one-to-one support within a primary school setting.

The successful candidate will:

Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
Work with individuals and small groups to develop confidence, independence and academic progress.
Provide effective one-to-one support for children requiring additional academic, emotional or pastoral support.
Help create a positive, purposeful and nurturing learning environment.
Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
Contribute fully to the wider life of the school community.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience working within a primary school setting.
Experience providing effective one-to-one support for children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
Warmth, patience, professionalism and high expectations.

A Level 3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent qualification) and experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous.
