We are looking for an experienced, energetic and ambitious Retail Sales Advisor to join our growing Vape & Convenience Store business in South Croydon.
This is a full-time, long-term position for someone who already has retail or face-to-face sales experience and genuinely enjoys working with customers.

Pay & Earning Potential
- Starting pay: £12.75 per hour during the initial training and probationary period
- Initial training and probationary period is normally 3 months
- Opportunity to progress to a higher hourly rate following successful training and performance reviews
- Hourly pay progression available up to £18.00 per hour for exceptional employees who demonstrate the required experience, performance, reliability and level of responsibility
- Sales commission and performance-based incentives available after successful completion of the initial 3-month probationary period
- Opportunities to progress into Senior Sales Advisor, Keyholder, Supervisor and Management positions

Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers warmly and delivering excellent face-to-face customer service
- Engaging confidently with customers to understand their requirements
- Providing knowledgeable advice on vape products, devices, e-liquids, accessories and convenience store products
- Recommending suitable products and identifying genuine opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
- Working towards individual and store sales targets
- Building relationships with customers and encouraging repeat business
- Continuously developing your product knowledge and keeping up to date with new products
- Operating the till and processing transactions accurately
- Receiving deliveries and checking incoming stock
- Lifting and moving boxes and putting deliveries away
- Replenishing shelves and maintaining stock levels
- Using ladders safely to access and organise stock on higher shelving
- Maintaining attractive, well-organised product displays
- Supporting promotional campaigns and in-store offers
- Keeping the shop clean, organised and professionally presented
- Assisting with stock counts and inventory management
- Taking greater responsibility for store operations as your experience develops
What We Are Looking For
Previous retail or face-to-face sales experience is essential.
This position is specifically aimed at experienced candidates. Unfortunately, if you have no previous employment, retail or relevant customer-facing sales experience, this particular vacancy will not be suitable.

Vape Knowledge
You do not need to be an experienced vaper to apply.
However, vaping is an important part of our business, so you must have a genuine willingness and interest in learning about vape devices, e-liquids, accessories and new products entering the market.
Full product training will be provided, but successful candidates will be expected to develop strong product knowledge so they can advise customers confidently and accurately.
If you have no interest in vaping products or learning about the industry, this position is unlikely to be suitable for you.
Training, Progression & Rewards
Your first 3 months will focus on learning our products, systems, sales approach and operational standards.
Your development will be assessed based on areas including:

Following successful completion of your initial probationary and training period, you may become eligible for higher hourly pay, sales commission and additional performance-based incentives.
Employees who demonstrate exceptional ability and take on greater responsibility will have the opportunity to progress towards an hourly rate of up to £18.00 per hour, alongside applicable commission and incentives.

Working Hours
This vacancy is for a full-time position only.
We are looking for candidates who can make a proper, long-term commitment to the role.
You must be able to work flexibly across our opening hours, including weekends as required by the rota.
