Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitted Furniture Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing customised furniture solutions in residential and commercial settings, ensuring precise fitting and finishing. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will be involved in all stages of installation, from planning to execution, delivering high-quality results that meet client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret technical drawings and plans to ensure accurate installation of fitted furniture.
- Assemble, install, and secure furniture units using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Conduct precise joinery work, including cutting, fitting, and finishing components to achieve seamless integration.
- Use carpentry skills to modify or adapt furniture pieces as required for specific spaces.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring large or bulky items into position.
- Perform site preparation tasks such as surface levelling, fixing brackets, and ensuring structural stability.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to confirm installation requirements and address any on-site challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace during and after installation activities.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations throughout all phases of work.
Experience
- Proven experience in furniture fabrication, assembly, or related carpentry roles.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, joinery techniques, and construction equipment.
- Experience working with customised fittings or in interior fit-out projects is desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working at heights if necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of installation work.
