Full job description

Overview:

Are you a healthcare or allied healthcare professional ? Are you a Pharmacy dispensing Technician and now looking for something different to the routine work in a dispensary?

Would you like to have the opportunity to focus your time making a difference to the local community with a team of supportive individuals working towards the same goal of providing excellent patient services? Are you willing to also be our Healthy Living Champion?

Are you trained or willing to be trained to deliver a range of Clinical/Pharmacy healthcare services?

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Services Coordinator to join our healthcare team in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth patient flow within our sites while providing Community Pharmacy Services. Please note that this is a multi-site role and will require occasional travel to other sites.

By shifting the emphasis from dispensing to patient care, our pharmacies can relieve pressure on GP and NHS services and become the destination of choice.

As a successful Patient Services Manager, you will utilise your rich knowledge and understanding of services to provide solutions that are adapted to the needs of the customer.

You will be responsible for managing the marketing aspect of clinical services within the pharmacy and liaise with other Clinical Service providers within other branches to help lead local health promotion events.

You will ensure that Halo Pharmacy meets all contractual and statutory requirements for the services we provide within our estate. Working closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist you will build and manage relationships with key stakeholders within national and local NHS teams and the General Pharmaceutical Council.

You will take a lead role in our transformation toward clinical services by providing an excellent customer experience, supporting patients to receive solutions tailored to their individual needs. As the primary customer contact, you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the available services and eligibility criteria and will actively seek opportunities to direct patients to services which will support their health outcomes.

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient queries, and provide information on services offered
- Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality is upheld
- Coordinate with other staff to facilitate patient care and follow-up appointments
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised Consultation and Clinical services areas

Experience:

Extensive background in a community Pharmacy setting or experience from a healthcare environment.
You will ideally be a Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser
Experience in Phlebotomy and Vaccination will be very useful.
Proven experience in an administrative or office support role within a healthcare setting- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff
Excellent communication skills with above average command of English Language. Fluency in other popular languages will be a plus.
Flexibility and Ability to travel to other sites.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively
Proficiency in using office software applications for scheduling, record keeping, and communication.
