This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career. The role would ideally suit a current Warehouse Supervisor with experience in a warehouse or 3PL environment, although this is not essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement an improvement plan focused on enhancing efficiency, throughput, and overall performance across our 3PL warehousing operation.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our logistics and warehousing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and process optimisation to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods using equipment such as forklifts
Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity
Manage team performance through effective team management and training programmes
Utilise warehouse management systems MintSoft to track inventory levels and order processing
Oversee the operation of forklift trucks and mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Coordinate logistics activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods
Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the warehouse
Handle shipping & receiving documentation accurately and efficiently
Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, maintaining proper ergonomic practices

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics or distribution environment
Strong knowledge of materials handling equipment, including forklift operation (certification preferred)
Familiarity with warehouse management systems functionality
Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimise operational efficiency
Mechanical knowledge relevant to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Knowledge of logistics operations, including shipping & receiving procedures and 3PL coordination
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation compliance
