Role: Technical Lecturer – Motorsport – MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MOTORSPORT
Location: National College For Motorsport – Silverstone
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, plus a Market Supplement of up to £10,000, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motorsport to join our Motorsport department at The Bedford College Group.To apply, you must have previous experience in the Motorsport industry.
As a Technical Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching, Learning & Student Achievement – Deliver high‑quality teaching, assessment and verification across a range of courses and levels, supporting learners to achieve their potential and succeed.

Curriculum Planning & Innovative Delivery – Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.

Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance – Monitor and track learner progress, provide timely feedback, meet awarding body standards and contribute to quality assurance and course review processes.

Learner Support, Behaviour & Enrichment – Support learners through effective guidance, behaviour management and enrichment activities, including employer links and work experience opportunities.

Professional Practice, Collaboration & Compliance – Maintain accurate records, contribute to team activities and recruitment events, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD requirements.
About you:
- Industry Expertise & Teaching Capability – Experience within the Motorsport sector, with the ability to teach across engineering pathways and commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.

Teaching, Learning & Student Experience – Able to deliver high‑quality teaching that supports diverse learners, creates engaging environments and drives strong student outcomes.

Curriculum Knowledge & Digital Delivery – Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry developments, with confidence using VLE systems (or willingness to learn) to enhance teaching and learning.

Communication, Organisation & Teamwork – Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, able to meet deadlines, build relationships across the College and contribute positively to team success.
