Campervan Technician (Self-Employed Initially)

Location: West Drayton, West London
Type: Self-Employed Contractor (with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team)

Meryan Vans isn't just another workshop.

We're building a company that we hope will become the UK's most trusted name for campervan servicing, repairs, upgrades and conversions.

Our vision is simple: to become the place campervan owners trust for everything their van needs throughout its lifetime.

Every vehicle we work on has a digital history. Every job is documented. Every installation is tested. Every customer leaves knowing their van has been worked on properly.

We're looking for someone who wants to help build that vision from the ground up.

The Opportunity

Initially, we're looking for a self-employed technician to work alongside us as the business continues to grow.

This gives both of us the opportunity to see if we're the right fit.

If everything works well, we'd love for this role to develop into a long-term position within Meryan Vans.

The Work

Every day is different.

Typical jobs include:

Mechanical servicing and repairs
Diagnostics and fault finding
Suspension and brake work
Campervan repairs
12V & 230V electrical systems
Leisure battery systems
Solar installations
Victron systems
Diesel heaters
Roof vents and skylights
Window installations
General upgrades and accessories
Vehicle inspections and testing

We're Looking For Someone Who...

Takes pride in their workmanship.
Enjoys solving problems.

Has excellent attention to detail.
Wants to keep learning and improving.
Is organised and takes care of their workspace.
Can work independently as well as part of a team.
Wants to help build a business rather than simply work for one.

Experience with campervans is a bonus, but it's not essential. A strong background in vehicle mechanics, auto electrics or similar trades is equally valuable.

Requirements

Self-employed.
Full UK driving licence.
Own tools preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
