Nutrition & Food Information Associate
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent 4 days in Office 1 day at home
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Full Time – Monday to Friday 8.30am -17.00
Please note this is a Fixed Term Role for 1 year
Purpose:
To ensure the smooth transition from the current nutritional software to a new software provider for the entire COOK product profile.
About the role:
Reporting to the Technical Systems and Project Manager and based at the COOK Office site, you will work closely with the Group Technical Manager and all other members of the team.
Main responsibilities:
Activities
- Training on the new software about how to calculate our nutritional content via the most accurate methods, considering the different cooking methods for each component forming the entire meal / pudding.
- Creation of user files in the new software for composite ingredients with nutritional data from approved supplier specifications for accurate use in calculations.
- Transition of the current calculated nutritional recipes to the new chosen software.
- Completion of QUID calculation document to determine the order and QUID % for ingredient declarations.
- Comparison of each recipe as calculated, highlighting changes to calculated nutrition or ingredient declarations (including QUIDs for key ingredients).
- Raising requests for change for any product specifications / labels that need to be updated as a result of the analysis.
- Reports – Completing and providing data to the team to track the KPI’s laid out for the completion of this project for reporting purposes or further analysis.
- Creation of documents detailing the processes for using the system and training of other team members within Group Technical and Food Team.
- Perform label verification checks for finished products against approved specifications.
- Carry out project-based and ad-hoc technical tasks across the team as required.

- To take responsibility for the safety of yourselves and others, adhere to all safety instructions and seek to improve standards wherever necessary.

It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in an HR, People, advisory, administrative or operational role.
- Exposure to employee relations or people-focused processes.
- An understanding of UK employment law and workplace best practice.
