We are looking for an organised and proactive People & Onboarding Coordinator to join our People & Performance team in Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with HR administration or coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating an excellent employee experience from offer through to onboarding and beyond.
Working closely with the Clinical People Business Partner and Learning & Development Team, you will play a key role in ensuring our onboarding processes are compliant, efficient and engaging, while also supporting learning activities and wider People initiatives.
Onboarding Compliance

Managing the end-to-end offer and onboarding process, including issuing offers and contracts and coordinating pre-employment checks such as right to work, DBS, references, qualifications and professional registrations.

Coordinating induction activity for new starters, working closely with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience.

Delivering engaging new starter induction sessions for employees joining the organisation.

Producing regular onboarding compliance reports, monitoring turnaround times, outstanding checks and potential risks.

Supporting probation processes by tracking review dates, issuing reminders and escalating overdue reviews where appropriate.

Maintaining compliance trackers for DBS renewals, professional registrations and mandatory training, ensuring any risks are identified and addressed.
Learning & Development Support

Providing day-to-day administrative support for Learning & Development activities, including scheduling training, coordinating logistics and preparing learning materials.

Supporting the delivery of both virtual and face-to-face training sessions.

Administering our Learning Management System (Attensi), maintaining learner records, enrolling colleagues onto training and providing first-line support.

Producing reports on learner progress and training completion rates to support the wider People & Performance team.

Supporting the continual improvement of onboarding and learning processes across the organisation.
General People & Performance Support

Acting as a first point of contact for routine People and Learning & Development queries, providing timely support and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.

Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including Culture Amp survey administration and follow-up activities.

Providing general administrative and project support across the wider People & Performance team.

Experience working within an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or HR Advisor role, ideally with exposure to onboarding, compliance or Learning & Development.

A good understanding of pre-employment compliance requirements, including right to work and DBS checks.

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Experience using HR systems and/or Learning Management Systems, with confidence producing accurate reports and maintaining employee records.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Experience facilitating or coordinating learning activities is desirable.

Experience working within healthcare or another regulated environment is desirable.

A CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous.
Interview Process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a face-to-face 10-minute presentation to the interview panel. Details will be shared once shortlisted to provide candidates suitable preparation time before final interview stage.
