Air Treatment/Anaerobic Digestion Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working 40 hours per week on a 2-shift system at our Leyland facility.

What you’ll be doing

The AT/AD Technician will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the waste facility, with particular focus on the Bio-drying Operations and Odour Abatement Systems. The post holder will provide support in the day-to-day operational waste processing activities through hands-on involvement.

What you will bring

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have specialist knowledge of Bio-drying, Bio-filters and Ammonia Scrubbers and process services.

Whilst training and development opportunities are provided and encouraged for our roles, the following is advantageous:

Willingness to operate mobile plant as required for the role.

Who are we?

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.

Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.

Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable household waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.

Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across our two sites in Leyland and Thornton, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
