QUALIFIED NURSERY PRACTITIONER - HIGHVIEW BABY UNIT - - ****SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2026 START****

BABY ROOM

***MUST BE QUALIFIED IN EARLY YEARS********

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood curriculum standards.
Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Manage daily routines within the nursery setting, including organising activities and maintaining a structured environment.
Monitor individual progress of children, documenting developmental milestones and communicating updates to parents or guardians.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practice procedures at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent recognised certification.
Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative independently.
A caring attitude with genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children's growth and development.
Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and organisational needs. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a positive impact on children's lives through quality education and care in a supportive environment.
