Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves supporting the bar operation by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy periods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities
- Serve drinks to customers in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring high standards of customer service.
- Assist in preparing and replenishing bar stock, including garnishes and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Support the team during busy periods by taking orders and serving food when required.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Preparing of a small lite bite menu
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Good understanding of serving techniques and customer service principles.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing payments accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and eager to develop their skills within the food service industry.
