We are looking for a Patient Services Assistant (Receptionist) to join our team at West Hull Health Hub or Diadem Medical Practice on part time basis (7.5 hours on a Saturday only). This is so much more than a traditional reception role as you will be a vital part of a team embracing technology and automation to support online, patient-facing services, and back-office administration.

Main duties of the job
This is a dynamic, patient-facing, back-office, and digitally advanced customer service role that maximises the use of digital tools and automation to maximise patient care and the overall patient experience. You will provide compassionate support, answer patient queries, and signpost to the right team member.
You will work in innovative ways, embracing new technologies such as digital patient triage and automation to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing appointments and patient enquiries using the provision of digital patient triage which may be initiated through online, in person, or via telephone requests
- Handling administrative tasks efficiently embracing IT and innovative automation

Job Description

- Utilise technology such as digital triage and automation to manage appointments, handle enquiries, and embed a culture of care navigation, providing guidance and signposting patients to the most appropriate clinician or service while improving both the patient experience and back-office processes.
- Accurately record information, and guide patients to the most appropriate clinician or service using a combined approach of digital tools and appropriate escalation within a multi-disciplinary team
- Interact with patients and the wider team as required to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about practice and appropriate external service.
- To ensure that all interactions contribute to a positive patient experience and care
- Work professionally as part of the Patient Services team, delivering high-quality reception, administrative, and support services to patients, visitors, clinicians, and allied health professionals.
- To follow all relevant standard operating policies, procedures and protocols to ensure working in an efficient and courteous manner at all times.
