Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Mechanic to join our team in the Boston/Sleaford area. This role is vital in ensuring our customer's fleet remains reliable and compliant with safety standards. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional vehicle maintenance services.
Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy goods vehicles and trailers using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
Able to work safely on customer's premises and road side.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and assembly.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Assist in MOT preparations for heavy trucks and trailers.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.
Lift heavy components safely using appropriate equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HGV mechanic or in a similar heavy vehicle repair role.
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read schematics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for customer interactions.
Relevant certifications or licenses are preferred.
