Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitters to join our team. We are a nationwide mechanical installer mainly in the process cooling industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in assembling and installing piping systems. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that our piping systems are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Weekend work is available.
This position calls for a somebody who is willing to work away from home most weeks.
Job description
- Must be able to work in a team or on your own to conduct large and small pipework installations over the UK.
- Must be capable of working with thin wall (1.5 - 2mm) stainless steel pipe system
- Experience of pressfit (Mapress/Xpress) pipework is required.
- Experience with unistrut support system for pipe support.
- IPAF license preferable.
- CSCS or CCNSG required.
- Must have full driving licence.
- Must be able to work under own initiative.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install piping systems according to specifications and latest issued drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
- Apply basic maths skills to measure, cut, and fit pipes accurately.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and management to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within projects.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
