Job overview
Due to expansion, we are looking to appoint an experienced and professional Maths Teacher to join our team at Llangattock School Monmouth. You’ll be delivering core aspects of the Mathematics curriculum and implementing outstanding teaching practices to instil key knowledge within learners and using assessment and feedback to sustain and raise achievement. You’ll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with additional needs, teaching with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing complex behaviours within a structured learning environment, to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.
The right candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification or
- Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g. BSc in Mathematics or related degree)
- Ability to deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons covering a range of modules and concepts
- A good understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for Mathematics
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners progress and achieve to a high standard in preparation for examinations
- Experience working with students with SEND is essential.
- To have an awareness of a trauma informed approach.
