Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing containment and wiring systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in electrical work to contribute to diverse infrastructure developments while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Applicants should possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Install electrical wiring, Containment, and equipment in commercial, or industrial settings.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within scope.
Assist in training junior staff or apprentices as required.

Experience

Proven experience working as an electrician in a relevant setting is essential.
Proficiency with hand tools.
Experience using power tools.
Experience in all aspects of containment Such as conduit, basket, trunking & ladder.
Experience with SWA glanding & terminating of all sizes.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards is necessary.
Previous experience reading technical diagrams and schematics will be advantageous.
A recognised qualification in electrical installation is mandatory for highly experienced candidates. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous professional development.
