General Manager at The Queen Charlotte, Windsor

Location: Windsor, Berkshire
Salary: Based on experience + Performance Bonus + Benefits

An Exceptional Opportunity for an Exceptional Hospitality Leader

The Queen Charlotte is one of Windsor's most exciting independent pubs, combining premium food, exceptional drinks, live entertainment and outstanding customer service in one of the country's busiest tourist destinations.

We're seeking an experienced, commercially astute General Manager to lead every aspect of the business.

This is not a role for someone looking to take their first step into management. We're looking for a proven operator with a successful track record of leading high-performing pubs or gastropubs, delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving sustained commercial growth.

The Role

As General Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for The Queen Charlotte, leading from the front whilst maintaining the highest standards across every area of the business.

You will be responsible for:

Full P&L accountability, budgeting and financial performance.
Driving food and beverage sales while maximising profitability.
Recruiting, developing and inspiring a high-performing management and front-of-house team.
Delivering exceptional guest experiences that generate repeat business and outstanding online reviews.
Managing labour costs, stock control, GP, wage percentages and all operational KPIs.
Creating and executing local marketing initiatives, events and community engagement.
Ensuring full compliance with licensing legislation, food safety and health & safety requirements.
Building a culture of accountability, professionalism and exceptional hospitality.
Working closely with the Directors to identify opportunities for continued business growth.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

A minimum of 2 years in management experience within pubs, gastropubs or hospitality venues.
A proven record of increasing turnover and profitability.
Strong leadership skills with experience developing and retaining successful teams.
Excellent financial and commercial awareness, including stock management, labour control and P&L reporting.
Experience managing high-volume food and beverage operations.
Outstanding communication and people management skills.
Confidence working autonomously and making commercial decisions.
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Essential Requirements

Current Personal Licence Holder.
Right to work in the UK.
Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
Full understanding of licensing legislation and responsible alcohol retailing.
