SSF Metal Products Ltd hope to find a self employed or part time STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILER / SURVEYOR to support our sales and fabrications teams by undertaking site surveys and the subsequent production of drawings.
We are a manufacturer of structural and architectural steel fabrications based in near West Bromwich in the West Midlands producing and fitting all manner of fabrication from structural steel frames, staircases and canopies through to automated gates and railings to a customer base
While most of our prospective customers are based in the “Greater Midlands” area, we do sometimes quote for work that is further afield. We would therefore welcome someone who would WORK FROM HOME, traveling to sites with the Greater Midlands and consider occasional travel further afield.
As a STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILER / SURVEYOR supporting our business you will find yourself:
- Undertaking site visits
- Measuring up
- Producing CAD drawings
- Compiling Fabrication Packs and cutting lists
- Advising on manufacture and design
- Influencing sourcing and specifications
As a STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILER / SURVEYOR you should have:
- A proven track record in a similar role
- Knowledge of building regs relating to steel fabrications
- Experience and knowledge of some if not all of the following:
- o Structural steel frames
- o Beams and columns
- o Staircases and balustrades
- o Mezzanines or internal structures
- o Canopies and shelters
- o Security gates and railings
- UK driving license and own vehicle
