Hotel Front Office Associate (Part-Time)

Location: Apollo Hotel, 243-247 Hagley Road, Birmingham B16 9RA

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate (depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent | Part-time | Rotational shifts across 7 days | Early / Late / Night

Join a Long-Established Birmingham Hotel

The Apollo Hotel is a long-established independent 3-star hotel located minutes from Birmingham City Centre, serving both corporate and leisure guests.

We are seeking a reliable, professional and experienced Hotel Front Office Associate to join our reception team on a part-time basis.

This is a genuine hospitality role within a busy operational hotel environment and is suitable for candidates who already have previous hotel reception experience and are comfortable working independently across all shifts.

This role requires:

✔ Minimum 2 years’ previous hotel reception experience
✔ Ability to work Early, Late and Night shifts
✔ Weekend and Bank Holiday availability
✔ Confident communication in fluent English
✔ Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods
✔ Reliability, punctuality and strong attention to detail

Applicants without previous hotel reception experience are unlikely to be shortlisted.

Shift Patterns

Rotational shifts across all 7 days. Flexibility across all shifts is essential.

Early Shift: 7am – 3pm
Late Shift: 3pm – 11pm
Night Shift: 11pm – 7am

Main Duties

Guest check-in and check-out
Reservations and guest enquiries
Handling card and cash payments
Ensuring guest charges are correctly posted
Assisting guests professionally at all times
Liaising with housekeeping and other departments
Maintaining accurate shift handovers
Supporting smooth hotel operations during busy periods

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ previous hotel reception experience is essential
Experience with hotel PMS systems such as Guestline, Opera, or similar, is advantageous.
Excellent spoken and written English
Confident communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Must have the right to work in the UK
