We are now looking for a Container Control & Stock Coordinator to support our continued growth.
Role Summary
Responsible for managing import containers from ports, coordinating fulfilment of sales of containers across the country, setting up depots, and ensuring efficient movement, tracking of shipping containers and other stock items such as Flatpack containers.
Key responsibilities
Import Container Management
- Monitor incoming shipments and container arrivals at ports
- Coordinate customs clearance and documentation
- Track container status (ETA, delays, release)
Container Control
- Allocate containers for delivery or depot storage
- Manage container availability and utilisation
- Ensure empty containers are returned to correct depots
- Conduct regular stock takes
Transport & Distribution
- Liaise with internal transport department to fulfil orders and arrange haulage for container movement nationwide
Depot Setup & Coordination
- Organise placement of containers in depots across the country
- Manage storage capacity and yard planning at various locations
- Coordinate with depot operators for loading/unloading and repairs of containers
Administration & Tracking
- Maintain accurate shipment and container records
- Handle documentation (BOLs, delivery notes)
- Support ad hoc procurement activities and help maintain ISO accreditation compliance
Communication
- Work with shipping lines, ports, freight forwarders, and clients
- Provide updates on shipments and resolve issues quickly

Skills and experience
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Knowledge of import/export processes
- Familiarity with container shipping and port operations
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
