Overview:
Expleo is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a complex marine platform programme. The role requires an engineer who can operate autonomously within a client organisation, taking full ownership of Work Package items (typical Problem and Change Reports) and delivering system-aware corrective actions that provide clear, visible value to the programme. This position replaces an existing role and demands strong professionalism, technical judgement, and client-facing capability.
Responsibilities:
- Own and resolve Work Package Items end-to-end, from investigation through to corrective action implementation.

Conduct system solution reviews, including system decomposition and requirements management.

Maintain full requirements traceability across system, sub-system, and software levels.

Support system-level design activities for vehicle control subsystems and associated implementation hardware.

Apply safety-aware systems engineering principles in line with regulated engineering environments.

Provide system-level hardware and interface understanding to ensure coherent designs.

Operate professionally on client site, representing Expleo credibly and independently.

Support the Programme Engineering Team Lead (ETL) in delivering consultancy-led engineering services.
Qualifications:
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, such as:

Systems Engineering

Electronic Engineering

Physics
-
Mathematics
Essential skills:
- Demonstrable systems engineering experience on complex and/or safety-related systems.

Strong experience working at the systems / software boundary.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a client organisation.

Experience in marine, defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries.

Proven experience in:

Requirements management

Modelling and simulation (desirable)

Proficiency with tools such as:

DOORS

Siemens Polarion

Enterprise Architect or equivalent MBSE tools (desirable)
