About us…
smol is on a mission to change the face of consumer brands and businesses by bringing super effective, eco-friendly products at value for money prices. We believe everyone should be able to make easy swaps that are better for them, the planet, and their pockets.
Since launch, smol has taken the household cleaning market by storm. We are already the fastest growing and most positively reviewed brand in the laundry, dishwash, fabric conditioner and surface spray categories and we’ve got so much more planned.
Having received Series B investment in 2021 and B Corp certification at the end of 2023, our team is focused on combining fast growth with being a force for positive change and impact in all that we do.
In Summary...
As a Videographer at smol, you will be responsible for planning and executing video content end-to-end - from shoot set-up through to final edit - in service of our paid social creative strategy department. You'll work across lifestyle and studio formats, shooting content that performs on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, and editing assets that are platform-ready, on-brief, and built to convert.
This role is part of a small, and agile internal creative team. While your primary focus is videography, you'll also be involved in editing and other creative tasks and projects as needed.
What does the role involve?...
1. Shoot production and set-up
Plan and execute lifestyle and studio shoots from scratch, including lighting, set dressing, and equipment set-up
Adapt shoot environments to brief - whether that's a real-home lifestyle setting or a clean studio product format
Manage kit prep, shoot logistics, and on-the-day problem solving independently
Direct on-camera talent (founders, creators, or customers) to get natural, usable performance
2. Video editing for paid social
Edit short-form video assets for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube - including direct response, brand, and UGC-style formats
Work from creative briefs to deliver edits that are paced for the platform, hook-first, and ready to test
Handle all post-production including colour, audio, captions, and simple motion graphics where needed
Iterate quickly on edits based on performance feedback and creative direction
3. Creative collaboration
Work closely with the Creative Strategist and Creative Director to understand the brief before picking up a camera
Contribute creative input at the briefing stage - flagging production considerations and opportunities early
Be an active part of the feedback loop between strategy, production, and performance
4. Asset management and delivery
Organise and label footage consistently so it's usable across the wider team and in our clip library
Deliver final assets in the correct specs and formats for each platform
Keep track of shoot outputs and flag when footage can be repurposed or iterated
5. Quality and consistency
Maintain an on-brand visual standard across all content
Stay across platform trends and formats to ensure our content feels native wherever it runs
Hold the bar on brand consistency across every asset that leaves your hands
6. Culture and impact
Ensure that your work reflects our values as a B Corp company and our internal company values.
Act as an ambassador for smol both inside the business and externally with our stakeholders
Drive an inclusive and values-led approach to the work that you do.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), supporting our workplace to remain a fair and empowering environment for all.
You will need

Proven experience in videography across both lifestyle and studio set-ups, with a portfolio demonstrating both

Strong editing skills with proficiency in Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
Familiarity with UGC-style and creator-led formats
