Lallet Ballet Company is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and inspiring Ballet Teacher to join our growing team in Billericay.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and grow our ballet programme, teaching our youngest dancers from walking age upwards. Initially, you will lead our Parent & Child Mini Ballet and Preschool Ballet classes, with the opportunity to expand the timetable as demand grows into children's ballet classes, graded work and additional programmes.
We are looking for someone who can create magical first dance experiences while maintaining high teaching standards and nurturing every child's confidence, creativity and love of movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes for:
- Parent & Child Mini Ballet (walking age–3 years)
- Preschool Ballet (3–5 years)
- Create a fun, imaginative and welcoming learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Encourage confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of dance.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, safeguarding and class management.
- Work alongside the Lallet team to grow class numbers and support community events and open days where appropriate.
- Assist in developing the ballet programme as it expands throughout the Billericay area.
- Prepare pupils for performances, showcases and future examination work if introduced.

Essential Requirements
- Ballet teaching qualification or recognised dance training.
- Experience teaching young children (early years experience desirable).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete training).
- First Aid qualification is desirable.
