Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic working environment.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portioning ingredients accurately.
Experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
