Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at Rosehill Care. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

This is a part-time role of 10 hours a week and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and personalised care.

Responsibilities

Able to travel within the Merton, Sutton and Kingston Borough.
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Help maintain personal hygiene and dignity of individuals under your care
Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
Monitor and report changes in health status to senior staff or healthcare professionals
Support with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
Engage in meaningful communication to promote emotional well-being and companionship
Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment

Skills

Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and respond empathetically
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating care records
Strong organisational skills to follow care plans effectively and manage multiple responsibilities
Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or community-based support
Experience providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism at all times
