Are you an experienced medical/clinical administrator or medical/clinical bookings coordinator? Or do you have excellent administration and call handling experience? We have a fantastic opportunity for a professional and organised individual to join us as the first point of contact in the Heath Lodge Clinic patient ‘journey’.
Heath Lodge Clinic is an Independent Imaging Centre in Knowle, Solihull, West Midlands, which aims to provide a caring and supportive workplace to all employees. Our clinical service provision includes an MRI unit comprising two state of the art 3T scanners, and an additional 1.5T Siemens Espree scanner, which is particularly suited to the needs of claustrophobic patients. We also provide X-Ray, Dexa, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy, as part of our Pain Management service.
Your main responsibilities in this role include –
- Ensuring all patient appointments are allocated or offered appropriately based on the clinical information detailed in the referral and relevant Consultant protocol.
- Answer incoming booking calls promptly (together with any ‘general enquiry’ calls).
- You will also cover for our reception or reports team so that the clinic can provide a seamless service.
The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) working various shifts between 8am - 6.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between 8am – 8pm Wednesday. There may be some occasional Saturday required if cover is needed.
The successful candidate will have -
- Proven medical bookings or medical administrative experience is desirable although we may consider applicants with excellent administration or call handling experience
- Experience working within an MRI department would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Great organisational skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be adaptable and use initiative to solve challenges that arise
- IT Proficient
