Role Purpose
The Assistant Boutique Manager plays a key supporting role in the day-to-day running of the boutique, working closely with the Boutique Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences and strong sales performance.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with a strong focus on styling appointments, supporting team performance, and maintaining the high standards expected within a premium retail environment. The Assistant Manager will also step up to lead the boutique in the Manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Boutique Manager in the daily running of the boutique
· Deliver outstanding one-to-one styling appointments, offering expert advice and building customer confidence
· Drive sales by supporting store targets and maximising every appointment opportunity
· Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and a luxury in-store experience
· Assist with team supervision, coaching, and motivating staff to maintain high performance
· Step in to manage the boutique in the absence of the Boutique Manager
· Support rota planning and ensure adequate floor coverage during peak times
· Assist with stock management, including deliveries, organisation, and replenishment
· Maintain impeccable visual merchandising standards in line with brand expectations
· Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally and efficiently
· Support marketing activity, including appointment follow-ups and social media engagement where required
· Encourage customer loyalty, repeat visits, and positive reviews
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
· Previous retail experience (fashion or premium retail preferred)
· Experience delivering high-end customer service
· Flexible and adaptable, particularly during peak trading periods
· Confident in achieving sales targets and driving performance
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Passion for fashion, styling, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
· Professional, approachable, and aligned with luxury brand values
· Highly reliable, proactive, and able to work independently when required
Desirable
· Previous supervisory or keyholder experience
· Experience in styling, fashion, or occasionwear

Location & Working Pattern
· Knowle / Stratford/ Birmingham / Coventry
· Wednesdays, Thursday including weekends
· Required to work during school holidays
· Flexibility to increase hours during peak trading periods
· Expected hours of working are up to 40 hours per week (can be discussed at interview stage)
