At Midland Heart, safety is our highest priority. We're looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our Building Safety team on a Fixed-term contract till 31st March 2027 , helping to ensure our homes remain safe, compliant, and well managed.
Working across our portfolio of residential, retirement, supported living and other properties, you'll undertake Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), identify fire safety risks, and support the delivery of practical solutions that help protect our customers, colleagues and communities.

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you'll be responsible for:
Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and FRA reviews across a wide range of residential, retirement, supported living and other premises
Recording significant findings clearly, accurately and proportionately, identifying practical remedial actions to reduce fire risk
Providing technical fire safety advice and guidance to colleagues, contractors, tenants and other stakeholders
Reviewing evacuation strategies to ensure they remain appropriate for each building
Working collaboratively with Building Safety, Asset Management, Housing and other teams to understand building risks and customer needs
Maintaining accurate electronic records and ensuring FRA reports are completed to a consistently high standard
Supporting tenant engagement by explaining fire safety findings and capturing customer feedback
Contributing to the continuous improvement of Midland Heart's Fire Risk Assessment service

You'll work alongside experienced fire safety professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality services and continually improving building safety across Midland Heart's portfolio.
Our ideal candidate? We're seeking an experienced professional with:
A Level 3 Fire Safety / Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent) together with membership or registration of a recognised professional body.
Proven experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments, ideally across residential, social housing, supported living or other complex building environments.
Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and wider fire safety legislation, standards and best practice.
A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel across Midland Heart's housing portfolio.
