Job Overview: Elite Double Glazing Installer (Join a 7x Which? Trusted Trader of the Month)

We are a proudly independent, 45-year-old family business manufacturing right here in Birmingham. We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and customer-focused Double Glazing Installer to join our elite installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining our bespoke windows & doors, conservatories mainly in residential properties within a 10 mile radius of B30 3HP.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a highly respected company, working on varied projects that require meticulous attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering "The Finesse Way". This is a self-employed position suitable for individuals with strong experience or a keen, proactive interest in high-quality installation work.

Responsibilities

Precision Preparation: Prepare sites ensuring safety & tidiness as a priority.
Elite Installation: Install double-glazed windows, doors, and related fixtures with the precision and care required to meet our Superhome standards.
Expert Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively throughout the installation process.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations meet rigorous safety standards and our own exacting client requirements.
The Finesse Finish: Conduct thorough quality checks on completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality before handing over to the customer.
Customer Respect: Maintain an immaculate, clean, and organised work environment in our customers' homes throughout each project.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside other trades such as building, plastering or electrical teams when required.

Qualifications

Background: MTC qualification or equivalent would be a significant benefit
Technical Skill: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in premium glazing installations.
Knowledge: An understanding of lintel installation & plastering is beneficial (but not essential).
Accuracy: The ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Professionalism: Strong organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
Capability: Good physical fitness with the ability to safely work at heights.
Safety First: Relevant safety certifications, or a willingness to undertake comprehensive health & safety training prior to employment.
