The Role
This is a Part-Time Position (30 Hours), working a mixture of shifts and alternate weekends.
Shift Patterns:
Early Shift: 07:00 – 15:00
Late Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
The role is primarily office-based; however, there may be occasions when you'll provide support in the community to cover staff absence or carry out quality and review visits.
You will also complete approximately 5 hours of direct care each week, which can be used flexibly for:

✅ Supporting care staff
✅ Shadow shifts
✅ Quality assurance visits
✅ Building relationships with service users
You'll work closely alongside fellow Care Coordinators and Office Managers to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities
The Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of BooCare Domiciliary Care Agency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to service users. The role involves supporting and managing care staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, responding to operational issues as they arise, and ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and satisfaction of both service users and employees.
Service User Management
- Ensure all service users receive safe, effective, and person-centred care in accordance with their care plans.
- Conduct initial assessments, reviews, and reassessments of care needs.
- Develop, implement, and update care plans and risk assessments.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Respond promptly to concerns, complaints, incidents, and safeguarding matters.
- Monitor service quality through regular reviews and service user feedback.
Staff Management
- Supervise, support, and retain care staff.
- Carrying out the first visit with new service users and providing information to staff on their care plan and needs.
- Providing a ‘shadow’ system with staff on the first visit to a new service user.
- Conduct staff inductions, supervision meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training and ongoing professional development.
- Manage staff attendance and sickness absence.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in handling complex care situations.
- Promote a positive working culture focused on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations and ensure care visits are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Manage emergency situations, staffing shortages, and service disruptions.
- Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and documentation.
- Monitor care delivery and address any issues affecting service quality.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and external agencies when required.
- Support business growth by maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Maintain safeguarding procedures and promote best practice.
- Conduct audits, spot checks, and quality monitoring activities.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection requirements are met at all times.
- Support preparation for inspections and regulatory reviews.
Health and Safety
- Promote a safe working environment for staff and service users.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed regularly.
- Monitor health and safety compliance across all areas of service delivery.
- Respond appropriately to accidents, incidents, and emergencies.
✅What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Experience in domiciliary care, health and social care management, or a similar leadership role.
- Minimum of Level 3
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to daily operational challenges.
- Experience in staff supervision and performance management.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- All roles are subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in leadership roles in domiciliary care
- Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care
- Knowledge of care management and care planning systems.

Pay Rates
£14.00 per hour – Monday to Friday
£14.75 per hour – Saturday & Sunday
£23.00 per hour – Bank Holidays
Mileage paid at 45p per mile for travel undertaken during your shift.

- Six-month probation period
- Annual leave year runs from 1 April – 31 March. 28 Days Annual Leave (Pro Rata)
