West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locality Manager to join our Adult Social Care Central Team, reporting to the Service Manager for Adults and Community Support. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Central Locality Team, working collaboratively to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality care and support services.
The Role
As the Locality Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and managing a team of dedicated professionals to ensure effective transitions from children's to adult services
- Overseeing the locality working with the highest paying customers to ensure appropriate commissioning of services
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including providers, to ensure the successful delivery of care and support services
- Monitoring and evaluating service performance, implementing improvements as necessary
- Contributing to the strategic development of Adult Social Care, working alongside other managers to drive positive change
In addition, you will play a key role in supporting the Service Manager to achieve organisational objectives and deliver high-quality services to our customers.
This is a fixed term role until 31.03.2027 (Interim support, short term
organisational change)
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Extensive experience working in Adult Social Care, with a strong understanding of transitions and locality working
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in monitoring and evaluating service performance
- A positive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to drive change and implement improvements
