Salary: £30,770.00 to £35,338.00 per annum pro rata, plus excellent benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (alternative working patterns available).

As part of our dedicated Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students aged 14+ and our wider college community to feel safe, well, and ready to succeed.

One moment you might be supporting a student in crisis, the next you’re contributing to safeguarding plans or working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the right support is in place.

What you’ll be doing
As our College Nurse, you’ll be at the heart of our support network, delivering confidential, professional and responsive care.
You will:
- Provide first-line confidential advice and support to students and staff on a wide range of:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Carry out timely assessments and respond appropriately to medical situations and welfare needs
- Recognise when to treat, monitor or refer to external healthcare professionals
- Support the development of:
- Pregnancy risk assessments
- PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans)
- Assess staff pre-employment medical questionnaires
- Work collaboratively across the college to ensure safe, accurate and appropriate information sharing
Working as part of a supportive team
You’ll be fully supported day-to-day by:
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads
- Head of Safeguarding & Wellbeing
You’ll also work closely with:
- Personal Tutors and curriculum teams
- External professionals and partner agencies
This is a highly collaborative role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring every student receives the right support, at the right time, in the right way.
