Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dumper and Roller Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist in various earthworks and construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on site. Responsibilities
- Operate dumpers and rollers safely and efficiently across construction sites, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs or potential faults.
- Assist with site preparation by moving materials, soil, or debris as required.
- Coordinate with the site supervisor to plan daily tasks and machinery usage.
- Maintain accurate records of machine usage and maintenance activities.
- Support other heavy equipment operations such as excavators when necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating dumpers, rollers, and other heavy machinery on construction sites.
- Valid commercial driving licence with relevant endorsements.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
- Experience operating excavators is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
