Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across various commercial premises. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring environments are hygienic, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. Previous janitorial experience and familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures are advantageous. This position offers consistent paid employment with opportunities to develop your skills within a professional setting.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of offices, washrooms, communal areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with waste management policies
Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as required
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure clarity and shine
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers to ensure continuous availability
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning activities
Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning tasks to the supervisor

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively within allocated timeframes
Physical fitness to perform repetitive cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures and chemical handling
Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
