Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker to join our team. This role involves assisting with various landscaping, construction, and maintenance tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture, gardening, and construction activities, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in outdoor maintenance and construction environments.

Duties

Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment safely and effectively
Using mechanical knowledge to support the operation and maintenance of machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment
Performing general site preparation, including digging, trenching, and grading
Supporting with the installation of irrigation systems and other horticultural projects
Assisting with the upkeep of tools and equipment to ensure optimal working condition
Maintaining a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Supporting team members with various construction-related tasks as required

Experience

Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical principles is advantageous
Experience working with excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory
Familiarity with irrigation systems or general construction experience will be considered an asset
Practical knowledge of maintenance routines for outdoor environments is beneficial
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and working safely in outdoor settings is essential

This role provides an excellent platform for individuals passionate about outdoor work, construction, or horticulture to develop their skills within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £21.00 per hour
