Summary
To support future growth, Stannp are seeking a Digital Print Manager to oversee daily operations of our digital printing environment, managing people, processes, and systems to ensure productivity targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the complete digital printing workflow from job planning through to final dispatch, leading a team of Digital Print Operators and driving continuous improvement across the department.
This is a full time, on-site role based at our facility in Barnstaple, North Devon. You must therefore be a commutable distance.
Flexibility to work shifts will also be required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Plan and brief daily digital print workloads with Operations and Technical teams, ensuring jobs are completed on time and at optimal cost efficiency
- Coordinate the effective use of digital printers, Fiery Software, Hot Folders, and enveloping machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Oversee planned maintenance of digital printing machinery, coordinating workload planning around maintenance requirements
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards, ensuring all output meets company specifications and customer requirements
- Manage, mentor, and develop Digital Print Operators, conducting assessments and identifying training needs
- Organise recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for the team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Report production KPIs, challenges, and recommendations to the Production Lead and senior management
Attributes
- Proven experience in a management or team leadership role, ideally within a print or production environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital printing systems and Fiery Software
- Strong understanding of inkjet printing technologies and production workflow management
- High level of attention to detail and quality focus
- Excellent communication skills — able to present clearly to both the shop floor and senior management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ISO standards
