Full job description

Established for more than 60 years supplying subcontract services for a range of industries including aerospace, medical and oil sectors. We are currently recruiting for an experienced assembly technician to join our assembly team.

Job summary

In this role you'll be assembling mechanical and electro mechanical components in small sized batches. You will be responsible for ensuring that the high standards of quality are maintained for these products while meeting delivery deadlines.

Working in a small team, you will play a key part in the production activities and will be flexible in carrying out the work involved. The products are relatively small and light and assembled at individual benches.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company where you will be an important part of the team.

Skills and experience

assemble electromechanical and mechanical assemblies to a high standard
fit bearings, shafts, dowls etc.
work to drawings, procedures and specifications
understand fits and tolerances
use hand tools and measuring equipment
working to ISO 9001 quality standard

Addition experience preferred:

Must be vigilant and dliligent, with a good attention to detail, and able to maintain high standards of work
use of literacy skills to complete route cards, records, etc.
an industrious and enquiring individual working alone or as part of a team, without direct supervision

39 hours per week: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am - midday
