About The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Freelance Sub Agent to join our Highways team based at our Southam Site

As a Sub Agent you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.

This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Assisting with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role.

This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:

HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
Previous experience in large scale highways projects is essential
Good team skills.
Must hold a full UK drivers license and have access to your own vehicle
SMSTS
Valid CSCS card, either Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months)
