About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Admin Assistant to join our team based in Hythe, New Forest. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our organisation, providing vital administrative support across a range of functions.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, covering reception duties whilst also delivering high-quality administrative support to our wider team — including contributing to reports and processes relating to Looked After Children (LAC).

Key Responsibilities

Covering reception, welcoming visitors, and managing incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
Providing comprehensive administrative support to staff and leadership teams
Assisting with the preparation and coordination of Looked After Children (LAC) reports and associated documentation
Maintaining accurate records and filing systems, both digital and paper-based
Supporting the team with correspondence, scheduling, and general office tasks
Working collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role
Knowledge and understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) processes and terminology
Familiarity with Looked After Children frameworks and reporting requirements (desirable)
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
A professional, empathetic, and confidential approach to sensitive information
Reliable, self-motivated, and a true team player

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £26,000 – £30,000, dependent on experience
37.5 hours per week across a full year (52 weeks)
A supportive and friendly working environment

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
