Full job description

Job Name - HGV Class 2 Fuel ADR Tanker Driver

Reports to - Associate Transport Director

Department - Transport

Location - Unit 4, Penta Industrial par, Wide lane, Southampton, SO18 2FA

Built on over 100 years of expertise and leading the way in many areas of the Fuel and Lubricants industry, New Era Fuels are looking for a Class 2 HGV ADR Fuel Tanker Driver to join their growing team. Offering a fully intensive training programme including PDP certification, SUD and Environmental awareness, this role gives employees a real opportunity for career progression and continued development.

The Role:

Multidrop Bulk fuel deliveries to commercial and domestic customers
Monday to Friday (45 Working hours per week)
Weekend availability is required during the busy winter period
Overtime opportunities available and encouraged

What we offer:

Starting Salary £36,000
£38,000 after 1 year of service
£39,000 after 3 years of service
£40,000 after 5 years of service
Private Health benefits after 1 year of employment
Death in Service benefit after 1 year’s employment
Attendance Bonus (Up to £750 per year)
Performance Bonus (Up to £1200 per year)
Overtime paid at time and a half after daily 9 hours worked.
20 days holiday per year plus which increases with each year of service (up to 25 days). Plus 8 days bank holiday.
Contributory pension plan after completion of probation.

Skills Required

Full CPC licence along with your Digi Tacho card
HGV Class 2 Driving Licence with 6 points or less
Class 3 ADR licence (Including Tanks)
Previous multi-drop experience an advantage
Previous Tanker experience an advantage

Approachable and Professional with Excellent Customer Service
Compliant with a positive attitude towards H&S and Quality Control
A company person who understands the values and strategy of the business
Flexible to the needs of the business and able to work earlier/later during our busiest months
Able to work at a fast pace under pressure
Efficient and able to manage your time well
Be IT literate with the ability to operate smartphones and other handheld devices.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Please Note: we require you to have an HGV Driving licence and an ADR licence. This is essential for the role and unfortunately, candidates without both licences will not be considered.
