Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Sprayer/Prepper to join our automotive refinishing team. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive bodywork and refinishing processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Mix and match colours accurately to achieve the desired finish.
Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply paint, primer, or clear coats with precision.
Perform quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure smooth, even finishes free of defects.
Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed during the prep and finishing stages.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of quality.

Requirements

Previous experience in automotive painting or bodywork is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment are advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness suitable for standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks throughout the shift. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within the automotive refinishing industry while contributing to a professional team dedicated to excellence in vehicle presentation.

Pay: Up to £25.00 per hour
