Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly person to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in hospitality, food service, and customer relations.

Duties

Welcome guests warmly and present menus.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Ensure all health and safety standards, including food safety protocols, are strictly followed.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff.
Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in the dining area throughout service.
Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during shifts.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members.
Ability to work flexibly during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all times. This role offers an engaging environment where you can enhance your hospitality skills while providing outstanding service to guests. Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
