Join Our Team!

Power Tool Sales are a supplier of commercial tools and services supporting a range of industries such as automotive, large automotive (truck and bus), renewable energies (offshore windblades), fabrication or domestic trades. We pride ourselves in our ability to offer a flexible solution to each of our customers creating long term loyalty.

An internal restructure has created a vacancy for a new sales position and we need your help!

The position offers a variety of day-to-day tasks as detailed in the core description below. Although ideal, you don't need to have any prior knowledge of tool experience as you will receive ongoing training across all areas.
You should have great communication skills and an enthusiasm for speaking to customers (we do not cold call prospective customers).
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday (08:00-17:00). 20 days holiday a year (including automatic deduction for Christmas when we close) plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute all customers orders via our e-commerce portal or telephone.
Demonstrate a commercial awareness to ensure we offer value and quality of service to our customers.
Liaise & utilise support from suppliers as necessary to gain greater knowledge of the products sold.
Communicate with all customers to gain & give a better service (whether by email or over the phone).
Purchasing Authority
Advise any carriage/transport cost on an individual basis.
Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing to major accounts.
Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, email.
Maintain great business relationships with existing customers
Maintain competitor awareness
Develop your knowledge through team and self taught training routes.
Offer support in other areas of the business when required (we all play our part)

Core Competencies

Experience in the retail trade is ideal, but not critical
Recognise & develop new areas of growth - We encourage new ideas!
Ability to communicate fully with all customers needs
Manage budgets – Maths & English literate
Computer literate – Excel, word, email and internet
Good face to face communication & telephone manner with customers & colleagues
Able to work on own initiative or as a team member
Clear hand writing
Organisation skills
