About the Role

As a Sales Advisor at M&S Opticians, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality eye and hearing care services while promoting our offerings within the wider M&S store. Your role will involve optimising sales opportunities, maintaining customer records, managing stock, and providing exceptional customer service. You will assist patients in selecting the right eyewear, educating them on care and maintenance, and ensuring a seamless experience. With a strong retail background and excellent communication skills, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, making a meaningful impact on our customers’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

Promote optical and hearing services within the store to drive appointments
Maintain accurate customer records and manage stock levels
Provide outstanding customer service and handle enquiries professionally
Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs and lifestyle
Perform basic adjustments and repairs
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Support the fitting and dispensing of contact lenses
Conduct preliminary pre-tests and measurements
Work towards achieving store sales targets
Support marketing initiatives and special events

You are a customer-focused and detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping others. With a strong retail background and excellent communication skills, you enjoy building rapport with customers and providing expert guidance on eyewear selection. Your ability to multitask, stay organised, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment makes you a valuable team member. Whether you have optical experience or are eager to learn, you are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Requirements

Strong background in retail, customer service, or sales
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting
Commercial awareness and ability to maximise sales opportunities
Previous optical or healthcare experience preferred but not required
