Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Solar PV Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing photovoltaic systems on various sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties
- Install solar photovoltaic panels and associated electrical components according to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to assemble and secure solar modules on rooftops or ground-mounted systems.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation, ensuring safe and efficient groundwork.
- Perform welding tasks when required for mounting structures or electrical connections.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels, considering shading and structural factors.
- Assist with electrical wiring, including connecting panels to inverters and the main electrical system.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during installation activities.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timelines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Prior experience with excavators, welding, hand tools, and power tools is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and electrical experience are essential for understanding system components and installation procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in executing technical tasks accurately.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined or elevated spaces.
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications related to electrical work or construction are advantageous.
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to safety standards is essential for success in this role.
Pay: £30,000.00-£59,352.34 per year
