Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to fulfil a role as a Cleaner within our organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring the environment is welcoming, sanitary, and safe for all staff, visitors, and service users. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and have pride in delivering excellent results. They will be respectful, discreet and able to work in environments where confidentiality is important.

Essential Criteria:

Previous cleaning experience in a workplace/ school/ healthcare or similar environment.
Previous experience using a range of cleaning tools and machinery e.g. vacuum cleaners, floor polishers.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities or schedules.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all buildings users.

Desirable but not Essential Criteria:

Current EDBS certificate.
First Aid or Basic Health & Safety training.
Experience working in a customer-facing role or public environment.
Knowledge of environmentally friendly cleaning practices.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

Ability to carry out cleaning duties to a high standard, following agreed schedules and procedures.
Good attention to detail, ensuring all areas are hygienic, safe and presentable.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Reliable, punctual and able to maintain consistent attendance.
Basic understanding of health & safety practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Awareness of COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards.

Hours & shift pattern:

Monday - Sunday, various timings- ad hoc work.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
