About the Role
Laser 24 Limited is looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Process Operator to join our growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within manufacturing and engineering.
You will be fully trained to oversee manufacturing processes, operate machinery, and ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to operate and program manufacturing machinery and systems
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Carry out routine inspections and identify any process issues
- Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Maintain accurate production records and update process logs
- Support the production of goods to the correct quantity, quality, and cost targets
- Follow all health & safety procedures and site standards
- Work collaboratively to identify and reduce waste
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture and deliver excellent service
What We’re Looking For Essential
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) including Maths and English
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic computer literacy
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work flexibly
Desirable
- Interest or experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience within laser cutting or similar industries
- Forklift licence (or willingness to train)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 25kg)
