Full job description

Messenger/Cleaner cum Driver

Duties:

· To perform messengerial duties such as running errands, despatch of correspondence and distribution of files and documents;

· To make photocopies as requested and operate fax machine;

· To assist in the arrangement of furniture and equipment within the office premises

· To keep the Kitchen and all its appliances clean;

· To prepare tea/coffee and serve guests and visitors;

· To vacuum all carpets and upholstery;

· To dust, clean, polish all office furniture/equipment/metal structures/picture frames/all internal glass windows, deep and thorough cleaning of chancery premises;

· To sweep, wash and mop all floors and toilets, including all tiles, marble or hearths (inside and outside the premises);

· To perform driving duties as and when required;

· To keep the car clean and tidy when assigned driving duties;

· To record all travels in the logbook;

· To carry out simple routine checks/maintenance tasks of the vehicles;

· To help, whenever required, the mechanic when the vehicle under his charge breaks down on the road and has to be towed or repaired on the spot;

· To keep track of the need for servicing of the vehicles;

· To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected in the role ascribed to you.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

· Have the right to live and work in the UK;

· Basic Standard of education, basic literacy and numeracy are required to read mails, addresses and follow written instructions;

· Have a valid driving licence with a clean driving record;

· Good verbal communication skills are required to be able to communicate with the staff;

· Ability to manage time and work independently;

· Physical fitness to be able to move equipment and handle physical work;

· Candidates must submit a Disclosure and Barring Service check certificate.

Starting Salary: £1710.00

Deadline for application: 09 July 2026

Pay: £1,710.00 per month
