Business Administration Apprentice – Level 3 Apprenticeship

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career who is bright, eager to learn and keen to build a long-term career in business administration. Previous office experience isn't essential, we will provide full training, but you must have a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic and the confidence to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
Success in this role is much more about attitude than experience. From the outset, you'll be trusted with real responsibility, so we're looking for someone who is naturally organised, uses initiative, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and demonstrates a mature, reliable and professional approach.
The role will consist of a multitude of administrative tasks including (but not limited to) the following (full training given):
· Processing sales orders via email, e-commerce platforms (website, eBay and Amazon) and verbally.
· Answering and managing incoming telephone calls, emails and direct inquiries with professionalism, providing excellent customer service.
· Compiling customer quotations.
· Organising the dispatch of machinery, goods and spare parts, dealing with several different logistic companies ensuring the best service is used for effective delivery.
· Co-ordinating international imports and exports.
· Produce invoices and proformas, process purchase invoices and manage stock levels using Sage.
· Listing and updating products on our website (using WordPress), eBay and Amazon store.
· Preparing and maintaining documents using Microsoft applications, Google Workspace and graphics editor applications, including manging digital filing systems.
· Arrange travel and accommodation.
· Meeting and greeting customers, suppliers etc in an appropriate manner.
· Providing administrative support to Managing Directors and Managers as required.
· Ensuring accurate data collection, entry and reporting.
· Photocopying/scanning.
Skills & Experience:
· Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word. Excel, Access), essential and Google Workspace applications, an advantage.
· GCSE English & Maths achieved at grade C (4) or above, essential.
· Experience of Adobe Photoshop (or similar), eBay, Amazon and WordPress an advantage.
· Excellent self-organisation and prioritisation skills.
· Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach.
· Attention to detail.
· Problem solving skills.

This is a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship and will be achieved working alongside the job role.
To be eligible for the apprenticeship you must meet the following criteria:
- You must not already hold this qualification at level 3 or higher
- You must be over 16 years of age
- You must have been resident in England for the past 3 years, have the right to work in England and have a visa that covers the length of the apprenticeship (18 months + End Point Assessment)
- Although this post is initially advertised as a fixed term contract the post has the potential to become permanent to the right candidate and on successful completion of the apprenticeship course.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being busy, likes solving problems and is happy taking responsibility as their confidence and experience grows.
